In a refrigeration system for display cases, the condenser coil is basically the part that gets rid of the heat from the refrigerant. The refrigerant picks up heat from inside the case through the evaporator, you know, to keep things cool. Then it moves over to the condenser, and there the heat just releases into the air around it. After that, the refrigerant cools down and heads back to the evaporator to start the whole thing over again.
It seems like in display cases, especially bakery ones, space is really tight, so the condenser has to be air cooled and super compact. They design it to fit right behind or under the case without taking up too much room.
That way it doesnt block the airflow or anything. Often theres fans or louvers built in with it, to push the warm air away from the products and make the heat transfer better, I think.
The compact size is key because bakery displays are limited, so coils need to squeeze in efficiently. Heat rejection happens there to the surrounding air, and it keeps cycling. Sometimes it feels like the integration with fans is what makes it work in small spaces, but im not totally sure on every detail.
